Křič Fest ENG
Křič Fest is a local brewery-bound festival in a small rural village called Chříč. For the past 15 years we’ve tried to offer diverse program for children and adults alike including music, theatre and workshops. Quality line-up, craft beer and the unforgettable atmosphere of our brewery garden makes the festival worth visiting!
This year we’re offering wide variety of musicians from rising stars to well-renown interprets. For rap enthusiasts, we’d recommend Dvě slunce (experimental project of two friends Franta and Tomáš about life struggles and wellbeing) or stand-up laced Franz Skafka. Fans of more classical festival music might enjoy punk band Už jsme doma! which recently celebrated 40 years on the scene. Grunge enjoyers can have a listen of Sen Triplet, Prague & Děčín based band which combines western riffs and Czech texts. English speaking audience can expect three interprets which might just fit their vibe! From dreamy indie-pop Joska & Kiki, or slow-burn and more personal folk singer Barbora Hora, to surf-rock, country and disco influenced band Branko’s Bridge! Fans of theatre and their children can experience two plays from renown puppeteer collective DAMÚZA, or visit our exhibition showcasing the remaining historical set pieces of local community theatre. Those interested in beer brewing can visit the insides of our little brewery to see the wood-fed kettle where all the magic happens. And if you’re interested in traditions surrounding beer brewing, you can have a chat with Anna Podskalská from Čáry & Črty project, who prepared a hop wreath weaving workshop including a talk about Ječmínek and other peculiar legends surrounding beer. Those, who want to move more than listen, can visit workshop by Cirqueon and learn some tricks from new circus and acrobatics! And if you still haven’t got enough, end the day at out afterparty ran by MĀG (formerly known as Rumburak), who combines dark-wave and personal texts with recitals of his musical partner Magika. How to reach us?
While you can always get to the village by car (search for Chříč 2 in your GPS),* we finally received weekend bus connection over the summer via line 574 which connects to other regular public transport from Plzeň, Rakovník, Beroun and Prague (you can use idos.cz or pubtran.cz to look up the entire connection) See the schedule below:

*We urge those arriving by car to park only at designated parking locations above the village and not in the centre! Please, respect the locals. :)
Staying the night!
We have plenty of room for tents in our orchard, but to those who travel lightly and arrive early, we can offer space for a mat at the attic of our brewery. Toilets and basic washrooms are available at the festival grounds. We urge visitors not to leave personal belongings without supervision!
